A failed payment or missing ticket record leaves important questions about the case status. Send our team the original citation, any receipt or transaction message and the response date. We review the charge and current status before explaining whether a non-moving amendment or other work is available.

If the online payment does not go through
- Save the portal’s message and any confirmation or transaction number. Do not post payment details publicly.
- Include any receipt or pending-payment confirmation with the original citation so the review accounts for what has already happened.
- Send our team the citation, response date and any transaction message for a review of the case status and representation available.
- Keep any written instruction and verify the case status. A failed transaction does not extend the court date.
If the ticket is missing from the portal

There is no single set of online-payment rules for every court
The citation identifies the court or agency handling your matter. Its procedures determine which cases can be paid online and which require another step. A payment page from a different parish or city may not apply, even when the alleged speed is similar.
For example, Baton Rouge City Court’s official instructions distinguish payment procedures, fine exceptions and violations requiring an appearance. Those are local instructions, not a statewide rule that every speeding ticket can be paid remotely.
Payment is not automatically diversion
Paying by the deadline does not, by itself, enroll you in a program that keeps a ticket off your record. Louisiana law provides traffic-case alternatives with conditions. A specific approved arrangement must be distinguished from simply paying the original charge.
Our team commonly seeks an amendment to a non-moving violation for eligible matters. The applicable fine and court costs generally still have to be paid, in addition to the separate legal fee. Approval is case-specific, and dismissal is not the usual outcome.
Let us review these details first
- The complete citation and any later court notices.
- The earliest appearance or response date.
- All charges, including anything accompanying speeding.
- Your license state and whether you hold a commercial license.
- Any payment, plea, course or agreement already made.

If a deadline is close or payment already happened
Contact us promptly and give the exact dates. Do not assume a missed deadline always has the same consequence or that the case can still be handled through the original portal. We need to check its current status.
If you already paid, keep the receipt and confirmation number. Tell us what you paid and which charge was shown. We cannot promise that a completed plea or payment can be undone, but an accurate account is necessary to assess the situation. After an agreed resolution
Pay only as instructed for the approved result, keep the receipt and confirm any remaining conditions with our team. An inquiry alone does not extend a deadline or excuse court attendance.
