Bossier City Speeding Ticket Lawyer
A Bossier City stop can lead to different court and payment procedures depending on who issued the ticket. Check the agency and court on the citation before paying or choosing a driving course.
City Police ticket or a parish/state ticket?
The 26th Judicial District Attorney’s traffic guidance separates Bossier City Police tickets, handled by Bossier City Court, from state traffic violations prosecuted in Bossier and Webster Parishes. Do not use the city payment route simply because the stop occurred in Bossier City.
| Ticket or question | Official starting point |
|---|---|
| Bossier City Court traffic matter | Bossier City Court — traffic division: (318) 741-8582. |
| City Court fine or fee question | The court lists (318) 741-8597 for fines and fees. |
| Bossier parish/state traffic matter | Use the court on the citation and the District Attorney’s traffic guidance; the parish fine office is listed at (318) 965-3425. |
Check a program before paying
The District Attorney’s diversion instructions say that paying a ticket before enrolling makes it ineligible for that program. A city-court course and a district-attorney program should not be treated as interchangeable. Ask which procedure applies, whether you qualify, and what must be completed by what date.
Office hours are different from hearing and payment deadlines
Bossier City Court lists its address as 620 Benton Road, weekday office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and a 4:30 p.m. payment cutoff, subject to court closures. These hours do not replace the appearance time on your notice. Confirm your case instructions before traveling or assuming an online payment will resolve the charge.
An approaching parish diversion deadline needs prompt review
For a citation that actually belongs in the parish program, the DA’s traffic-diversion page requires a request at least 15 days before the court date and describes eligibility restrictions. Tell us the date, driver-license category and any prior payment at the start of the review. That program’s rules do not automatically apply to City Court tickets.
What an amendment would mean
Our usual objective for an eligible ticket is an amendment to a non-moving violation, with the goal of protecting your driving record and insurance. Dismissal is uncommon in our practice. The fine and court costs remain payable, and our legal fee is separate. The available resolution depends on the charge, driver and court; it is not guaranteed.
Compare an amendment, dismissal and an approved course before deciding how to resolve the original charge.
Send the information needed for a review
- A clear photo of the complete citation and any later court notice.
- The court date or response deadline, and whether it has already passed.
- Your license state, CDL status, other charges and any payment or plea already made.
