Iberia Parish Speeding Ticket Lawyer & Court Guide

By Stephen Babcock

New Iberia City Court distinguishes New Iberia Police cases from State Police and Iberia Sheriff citations directed to district court. Jeanerette City Court has its own clerk and payment service. These court distinctions are more useful than selecting whichever Iberia payment link appears first in a search.

Court and location at a glance

  • Parish seat: New Iberia.
  • District-court reference: 16th Judicial District Court. The same judicial district also serves St. Martin Parish and St. Mary Parish. Each parish still has its own records and hearing instructions.
  • Use the court on the citation: a city, mayor’s, parish or district court may have different procedures. The nearest city and the issuing agency alone do not always identify the correct court.

What matters for a ticket in Iberia Parish

Delcambre extends into both Iberia and Vermilion, so its guide is linked from both parish pages. Iberia’s district is the 16th, shared with St. Martin and St. Mary; Vermilion belongs to the 15th. We use the actual citation to identify the proceeding before discussing a proposed amendment or whether a return trip is needed.

Across parish lines: Delcambre spans Iberia Parish and Vermilion Parish. These guides appear under each relevant parish. We still check the actual court and location before identifying the case.

Official resources and local references

These official sources support the local court information above. Our team reviews the court, charge and current instructions for your actual ticket. Send us the citation and latest notices for a review of the available representation; a general calendar or payment page does not replace a court order.

Have the citation reviewed before choosing a resolution

Send a clear ticket photo and every later notice. Tell us the required date, license state, whether you hold a CDL, and whether you have already paid or appeared. We identify the court and charge, assess an appropriate non-moving amendment or other supported resolution, and explain our work and fee before representation is confirmed. Contacting us alone does not extend a deadline.

Our speeding-ticket fee promise: If we accept your speeding-ticket case and obtain neither a non-moving amendment nor a dismissal, we refund your full attorney’s fee. Court fines and costs are separate. Read what our fee-refund promise covers.
